Our dear friend Jon Chattman (of A-Sides with Jon Chattman) brings you the 2nd possibly annual Pop Goes the Culture Awards & Variety Show on Saturday, March 1st 5:00pm at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers.  The evening promises to be an epic night of comedy, music, and yes, fake awards.  And the best part… Andrew W.K. will be in the house to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award!

Since Westchester is such a small world, we actually know many of the acts and honorees!  Yonkers Brewing is slated to receive the “Mom & Pop” Award for having such a wonderful, thriving local small business.  Friend and comedian Carlos Gonzalez will host the award show for the second year in a row.  This dude is funny!  Our very own student Simon Cadel will also be gracing us with his comical stylings — you may never laugh so hard again.  He’s 14 but no joke, this kid performs standup with the pros all over Manhattan.  Our very own little Event Coordinator Emily Angell will sing an original tune, and DAE President Rob Kissner may even bust out with a surprise musical performance!  But you’ve got to come to find out what all the hullabaloo is about.

Plus, the whole thing is taking place at Westchester’s newest, coolest (we think) theater: the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers.  Our team will be there, will yours? See you there!
